Academy of Art University men’s basketball freshman guard Jase Harrison (Advertising) was named the Pacific West Conference Freshman of the Week for the second straight week, this time for the week of Jan. 19–25.

Harrison performed well in three games for the Urban Knights, helping ART U snap its seven-game losing streak on Jan. 19 and competed hard with two of the PacWest’s top-six teams. The rookie had back-to-back double-digit scoring games and also recorded his first career double-double with a season-high 10 rebounds on Jan. 22.

In a 76–73 win over Chaminade, Harrison scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds while also notching three assists, two steals and a block in a complete effort. Against Hawaii Pacific he tallied his third straight double-digit scoring game in as many starts with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds with another three assists to boot.

It is Harrison’s third Freshman of the Week recognition after picking up the award last week and for the week of Nov. 24–30. The Urban Knights have earned seven weekly PacWest awards this season in six different weeks across the first 10 weeks of the season, winning each award (Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, Freshman of the Week) at least once.
