Team Expo Prove They’re Young & Hungry
A cross-department team, with members representing online advertising, graphic design and web design and new media students, totally knocked it out of the park on not one, not two but three multimedia concept presentations during the week of Summer Expo for Academy of Art University’s agency, Young & Hungry.
The first campaign was for the Young & Hungry client Families for Clean Air. The students in the onsite agency class already had sold a campaign but additional elements were needed to flesh it out. The online expo team jumped in and produced a wealth of material—branding, ads, web and mobile—that likely will be seen in the final video that Young & Hungry plans to shoot before summer’s end.
The second effort was a poster/video campaign promoting the Young & Hungry brand. While it’s still at a conceptual stage, Associate Director of Copywriting Mark Edwards believes it has potential akin to the Hungry for Creativity campaign that recently took home a national Addy award.
Online students presented three multimedia concepts that they developed for Young & Hungry during Summer Expo ‘15. The third project is for a public service campaign addressing violence in society. The team developed a powerful message for this tragically topical subject. Elements include a TV commercial, microsite and social media.
Moving forward, Team Expo will act as freelance staff with Young & Hungry. They’ll flesh out the projects started during Expo week, continuing to collaborate with each other and the onsite students in the Young & Hungry Agency.
